Why AI Has Made This the Perfect Time to Build Your Passion Projects
AI and LLMs have removed the traditional barriers to app development, enabling solo developers to rapidly build MVPs and bring their passion projects to life without massive time and financial investments.
You would think that a web developer would have multiple personal projects going at the same time, but the reality is that this was not the case. There's often a joke made in web development communities about how many domain names they have and how most of them are unfinished projects.
Time investments
To build out an app ("Application") required a lot and was a massive time investment. A developer wouldn't simply just be able to code an app from A to B. There were significant hurdles, such as:
- You would need have a great deal of development experience and resilience to move quickly and overcome obstacles.
- You would need to read through and understand a great deal of software documentation.

The sad reality of this is that many people have great ideas, and their passion and vision potentially make them the ideal person to be building that flavour of an app.

Being able to quickly built apps allow you to put together MVPs quickly, and you can have a working app on the same evening that you came up with the idea. This is incredibly freeing. You can bring your ideas to life. We can now make digital art through digital experiences, something which was just too costly to do in the past.
Build your passion projects
It's time you start building projects that you are passionate about or solve a problem for you. It doesn't matter if they're not going to make you money. Focus on building it and getting it out there. In time, you will build the skills you need to make your projects profitable.
