Cut, Copy and Paste
Cut, Copy and Paste
Cut, Copy and Paste is one of the most important tools and concepts when it comes to working with computers. All operating systems have a Cut, Copy and Paste system.
An operating system has a Clipboard which is like a box. When you Cut or Copy something, it stores it in this Clipboard. You can then Paste what is being stored into other applications.
When you're using Cut, it will remove the data being Cut from the application, while storing it in the clipboard. You need to be careful not to accidentally clear the clipboard as this information won't be in the previous application any more.
Copy is similar to Cut, however it keeps the data in the initial application.
Windows
Windows has a multi-clipboard that allows you to store multiple Cut and Copy instances. To access this multi-clipboard, you use the keyboard shortcut Windows Key + V.
